It doesn't take an army of statisticians to tell you that completing forms in one's native language will increase the quality and quantity of the responses your form yields.
Whilst you've long since been able to put form labels and placeholder text in whatever language you'd like, we've recently introduced additional Language support for the hidden, system alerts that users can see if a form has been filled in incorrectly.
Missed a required field? Too many characters in a free-text field? Added an invalid email address? Whatever the issue, tell users which field in their native tongue.
To get started, navigate to Forms on the left-hand nav bar and click into the form you'd like to change the alert language for.
Next, click Settings > Display and look for the Language field.
At the time of writing, Gecko supports form translations for the following languages:
English - en.
German - de.
Catalan - ca.
Chinese (Mandarin) - zh-cn.
