On Wednesday the 26th of February 2020, we will start rolling out a new log in process for everyone who uses GeckoChat. It's important for you to know about these changes.

  • If you use our GeckoChat mobile app you will have to update to the latest version which will be released on the 26th of February 2020.
  • If you don't use the mobile app no special action from you is required. Simply visit the new login page, enter your existing email and password, and GeckoChat will be available.
  • If you have not logged in by the 26th of March 2020, you will need to reset your password to access GeckoChat.

What changes should you expect?

The login page has been redesigned, the domain and login URL will change, and the password reset emails might look a little different - all these changes should be expected.

To access GeckoChat, simply visit the GeckoEngage account login page and enter your existing email / password.

The new login page should look something like the screenshot below and the new login URL will be account.geckoengage.com.

If you have a GeckoEngage account, the account selection screen should look something like the screenshot below.

How will the update be carried out?

We will roll out the update automatically to ensure we're not causing any inconvenience for our users. On the 26th of February 2020, users accessing the current login page will be redirected to the new login page.

If you haven't logged in through the new page before 26th March, you will need to reset your password.

If you use our mobile apps you will need to update them on the 26th February!

You will get an email on the 26th of February prompting you to update the mobile app on all of your devices. You will need to update the app to the latest version in order to use them without any disruption.

Why are we doing this?

This change will make logging in easier and more secure. Additionally, it will allow some users with our Protect package the option of logging in using their existing university email account.

How has this been tested?

We have been testing this update internally and with a select group of users over the last 4 months. We are excited to now make this change for all users.

Where can I find out more about this?

You can find out more about single sign on and two factor authentication on our knowledge base.

What if I'm having issues signing in?

If you're having issues logging in, we recommend resetting your password using the new GeckoEngage account log-in page.

We are always happy to help and answer any of your questions. If you have questions, please do contact us via our live chat service or at support@geckoengage.com.
