Landing pages are a fantastic option to easily and quickly add context and identity to your communication with students.

To build your landing page, log into Gecko and click on Landing Pages. Now click +New Landing Page in the top-right corner. 

After you've given your page a title and hit Next in the bottom-right, you'll be taken to the Landing page template. 

Your page can be as long or as concise as you deem necessary. If your account has a Logo Image or Background Image added in Settings > Account Settings, your landing page will automatically add these to your page to ensure consistent branding. 

Broadly speaking, your landing page will be divided into three sections: a header, the body of the page (which can be as long or as short as you'd like) and a footer

To edit the header, hover your cursor over the field and click the orange edit button. On the Content tab, you're able to add titles, rich text and incorporate Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn icons. 

The Appearance tab will allow you to quickly modify text colours, change the alignment and amend any logo or background images.


To add to your page body, hover your cursor over any existing section and click Add. The three types of page sections you can add are:

  1. Form

  2. Map

  3. Content / Image

Using Forms allows you to embed any form you've created using GeckoCapture. This is a great way to capture any follow-up information that you may not have wanted to collect in a previous interaction with a student. 

Maps create an instance of Google Maps which can be quickly embedded onto your form - a perfect way of providing concise and universally understood directions to your event!

The versatile Content / Image sections can be used to provide detailed, rich text enabled text and images. 

This section operates in the same way as the header section. Again, you have the options to include social media widgets as standard. 


Once you're happy with your content, know that you can add the final touches by clicking the Edit button in the bottom right-hand corner of your page. 

This menu allows you to change a number of key elements. You can:

  • Change your landing page's title.

  • Add URL's for any social media widgets you've embedded on your page.

  • Add Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager ID's to track traffic and clicks on your landing page. 

  • Easily edit the block order on your page. Useful if you'd like to adjust the layout. 

The last thing for you to do is to publish your page. Click the Edit button in the bottom right corner and click the Published toggle to 'on'.  This creates a Sharing Link you can share with students via SMS/Email or even by letting your GeckoCapture form auto-redirect students to your landing page after completing a form.
