On Wednesday the 26th of February 2020, we rolled out a new login process for everyone who uses GeckoChat. It's important for you to know about these changes.
If you use our GeckoChat mobile app you will have to ensure to have the latest version of the app.
If you don't use the mobile app no special action from you is required. Simply visit the new login page, enter your existing email and password, and GeckoChat will be available.
The login page has been redesigned, the domain and login URL will change, and the password reset emails might look a little different - all these changes should be expected.
To access GeckoChat, simply visit the GeckoEngage account login page at account.geckoengage.com and enter your existing email / password.
The new login page will appear as below:
If you only have a GeckoChat account - you will be directly taken to the GeckoChat. If you have both a GeckoEngage and GeckoChat account, the account selection screen should look something like the screenshot below.
What do the new changes bring?
This change will make logging in easier and more secure. Additionally, it will allow some users with our Protect package the option of logging in using their existing university email account.
How has this been tested?
We have been testing this update internally and with a select group of users over the last 4 months. We are excited to now make this change for all users.
