At Gecko, we have made some further improvements to our File Field to ensure that your files are always secure and protected.

All new File fields added to any Gecko form will now have "Secure Attachments" enabled by default.

Users can still edit the file field to change this setting.

Files uploaded with the secure option enabled will only be viewable from within Gecko, which means that if you sync or export them you won't be able to access the attachments through the URL.

Please note that all files that are captured securely; will remain secure and cannot be changed back. Once you toggle off "Secure Attachment"; files in the future will be accessible outside Gecko via export/CRM.

Additional information:

  • The maximum file size limit is 5 GB.

  • While .exe files are prohibited from uploading, all other file types are accepted.
