Locked Forms

2 min read - Protect critical forms by restricting who can edit or delete them.

πŸ’‘ This functionality is only available to Administrators, Chat Supervisors, and Chat Admins.

When a form is locked, editing and deleting is restricted to only the users and/or groups specified on that form.

πŸ”Ž Identifying locked forms

In your Forms list, you may see a mix of forms you're locked into and forms you're locked out of. On any form you're locked out of, the edit and delete options will appear unavailable - that's the locked state in action.

πŸ” How to lock a form

There are a couple of ways to lock a form:

  • Three-dot menu: From the Forms list, click the three-dot menu on any form and select the lock option.

  • Form Actions: In the form builder, click the Actions button and select Lock Form.

  • Mass Actions: Select one or more forms and apply locking in bulk.

If you select a form you're currently locked out of within Mass Actions, an additional confirmation modal will appear to let you know.

πŸ’‘ Admins can be locked out of a form. If you want administrators to be able to edit or delete your form, make sure to add the group in the options

πŸ”“ Unlocking & editing locks

If you have permission to the form, you can unlock or edit an existing lock from the same places, the three-dot menu or Mass Actions, as long as you are locked into that form and have the appropriate user level.
