Chargeable Items allow you to collect payment for fixed-cost items through a Gecko form.
This could include things like:
👕 Branded Merchandise
🚗 Parking
🥪 Catering
🎟️ Additional event-related items
Creating a chargeable item
Head to Settings > Chargeable Items > + New.
You'll need to add:
Name - The name displayed to the person completing your form.
Internal Name - An internal reference to help your team identify the item.
Amount - The amount you'd like to charge.
Once you're happy, save your changes and your chargeable item is ready to add to a paid form.
💡 The currency isn't set against the Chargeable Item itself. This is determined by the payment integration selected on your form.
Internal names
Internal names can be particularly handy if you're creating similar chargeable items for different purposes or currencies.
For example, your student-facing name could simply be Event Parking, while internally you could use:
Event Parking - GBP
Event Parking - USD
Event Parking - EUR
This keeps things nice and clear for the person paying while helping your team select the correct item when building forms.
